The M5-5,200 BTU Boat Air
Conditioning System - Smallest Footprint on the Market!
The M5 boat air
conditioning system has the smallest footprint on the market and
weighs in at just 31.5 lbs for the unit, and 4.7 lbs for the electrical
box! Designed for cruisers up to 26' and sailboats up to 28', the M5 Model
can also be used to cool cabins or sleeping compartments of up to 450 cubic feet on larger
boats. The M5 unit is ideal for the "tight fit" installations
and works great for individually climate controlled cabins on much
larger vessels!
M5 Marine Air Conditioners - Power Requirements & Specifications:
This unit will run off the
new Honda eu1000i 1,000 watt portable generator, while in cool mode.
Another option is to use a Statpower 1,000 Watt Inverter and 400 amp hours
of battery power and you can anchor out (on average) for one night. Due
to the construction of this unit, electric heat is not an option with this
unit.
Ducting: This unit
has a rotatable blower and tapers down to a "V" shape for those odd angle
discharge installations. We use 4”
ducting and recommend a minimum of 2, 4” round supply grills with this
installation. Cool-Only Unit Dimensions: L-15" W-11.5" H-11.5. Reverse Cycle Unit
Dimensions: L-18" W-12" H-11.5" Running Amperage: Cool = 4.4 amps, Reverse Cycle = 5.5 amps (Add
approximately one amp for the standard seawater pumps. Startup amperage is calculated by running amperage multiplied by 1.8).

Installation Kits and Options:
A complete basic installation kit including electrical connection kit, Footscoop, seacock, water strainer,
and dual ducting kit is available, as well as a deluxe kit (see list
below).
The Inverter kit and batteries are optional. (PUMP NOT INCLUDED).
All units are available in 220v for an additional $100.00, and require a
72 hour lead time.
